Visiting Benesse-lès-Dax windmill
Restored in 2015, Benesse-lès-Dax windmill is now opened to visits (except from milling days)

Freely come to the windmill site and enjoy the view on the countryside and the Pyrenean Mountains.
From May, the panoramic maps will help to locate your position

Different ways to visit
Guided Tour
Choose a guided tour to discover the interior of the windmill. During this visit, you'll learn about its history, its architecture and its machinery and you can have a look at its amazing roofing framework.

Immersive experience : New in 2024 (French spoken only)
If you want to visit the windmill differently or if you can't get into the windmill, you can have an immersive experience thanks to a virtual reality headset. You will be exploring the mill, in the 19th century.
